Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. General Refundability Rules
Most airline tickets compared on ReserveFlight are governed directly by the ticket-fare rules of the validating carrier (airline).
- Basic Economy Fares: Almost all basic economy airline tickets are completely non-refundable and non-changeable after booking.
- Standard / Flexible Fares: Some fares allow changes or refunds subject to airline penalties.
- Service & Convenience Fees: Any convenience fees, service charges, or agency support fees charged during the checkout process are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
2. 24-Hour Free Cancellation Policy
In accordance with United States Department of Transportation guidelines, certain flight bookings departing from the USA are eligible for free cancellation within 24 hours of booking, provided the flight was booked at least 7 days prior to departure. You must check with the booking merchant or airline to verify if your specific ticket qualifies for this 24-hour window.
3. Requesting a Cancellation or Refund
Since ReserveFlight operates primarily as a search comparison tool, bookings are finalized directly on the airline or booking agency website. You must contact the ticket issuer or the airline directly to request cancellations.

4. Processing Layovers & Timeframes
When a refund is approved by the airline, the refund will be credited back to the original form of payment. The processing time is subject to the airline's banking systems and credit card issuers, which typically takes between 7 to 14 business days. ReserveFlight has no control over banking clearances or airline processing queues.
